Part 1

勵(lì)志助學(xué)金(Access Scholarships)

該獎(jiǎng)學(xué)金授予那些無(wú)法全額負(fù)擔(dān)CFA 考試的注冊(cè)費(fèi)和報(bào)名費(fèi)，而需求助學(xué)金機(jī)會(huì)的考生。

1 獎(jiǎng)勵(lì)內(nèi)容

1、免除CFA 考試的注冊(cè)費(fèi)；

2、減免考試報(bào)名費(fèi)（包括電子版教材）至250 美元。

2 獎(jiǎng)勵(lì)周期

當(dāng)年12 月份授予的助學(xué)金將被用于下一年度的考試中。如果被授予該獎(jiǎng)，獲得者可以申請(qǐng)助學(xué)金有以下兩類(lèi)：

•6 月考試（I 級(jí)，II 級(jí)，III 級(jí)）或

•12 月考試（只限I 級(jí)）。

3 重要日期

2017 年考試勵(lì)志助學(xué)金的申請(qǐng)時(shí)間：

起始日期2016 年3 月1 日，2016 年9 月15 日前必須完成申請(qǐng)。

2018 年考試勵(lì)志助學(xué)金的申請(qǐng)時(shí)間：

起始日期可能為2017 年3 月1 日，2017年9 月15 日前完成申請(qǐng)。

4 注意事項(xiàng)

1、獎(jiǎng)學(xué)金申請(qǐng)人，可以是從未報(bào)名過(guò)的新考生也可以是目前在考的考生。對(duì)于申請(qǐng)人沒(méi)有最低或最高的收入或資產(chǎn)水平要求。

2、如果考生目前的雇主企業(yè)有提供任何經(jīng)濟(jì)援助的話，該考生將沒(méi)有資格申請(qǐng)?jiān)撝鷮W(xué)金。

3、考生每年度只能申請(qǐng)一次獎(jiǎng)學(xué)金。

如果一個(gè)申請(qǐng)人同時(shí)申請(qǐng)了勵(lì)志助學(xué)金和榮譽(yù)獎(jiǎng)學(xué)金，如果獲得了勵(lì)志助學(xué)金，榮譽(yù)獎(jiǎng)學(xué)金的申請(qǐng)將被作廢。

4、在提交獎(jiǎng)學(xué)金申請(qǐng)，考生應(yīng)該提供以下證明材料：

（1）同意遵守由勵(lì)志獎(jiǎng)學(xué)金官方制定規(guī)則；

（2）證明申請(qǐng)人自己不存在官方規(guī)定的利益沖突、關(guān)聯(lián)關(guān)系。如果有任何潛在的利益沖突、關(guān)聯(lián)關(guān)系已經(jīng)顯現(xiàn)，申請(qǐng)人必須進(jìn)行充分的披露；

（3）證明申請(qǐng)人目前的雇主沒(méi)有對(duì)申請(qǐng)人參加CFA 考試提供任何經(jīng)濟(jì)援助；

（4）證明申請(qǐng)人在申請(qǐng)過(guò)程中提供的信息是正確的和真實(shí)的；

（5）證明申請(qǐng)人無(wú)法獲得足夠的資金來(lái)全額支付CFA 考試費(fèi)用；

（6）允許CFA 協(xié)會(huì)公布或評(píng)估申請(qǐng)人在申請(qǐng)過(guò)程中的信息。

注意：以下是CFA 協(xié)會(huì)規(guī)定的利益沖突或關(guān)聯(lián)關(guān)系，凡存在下列情況的申請(qǐng)人需在申請(qǐng)中充分披露。

（1）助學(xué)金申請(qǐng)人有親屬在CFA 協(xié)會(huì)任職或是CFA 會(huì)員；

（2）申請(qǐng)人聘請(qǐng)CFA 協(xié)會(huì)工作人員為個(gè)人提供咨詢(xún)服務(wù)；

（3）申請(qǐng)人目前或過(guò)去曾是CFA 協(xié)會(huì)的工作人員或CFA 協(xié)會(huì)的會(huì)員；

（4）申請(qǐng)人受到過(guò)CFA 協(xié)會(huì)的處罰；

（5）申請(qǐng)人目前所從事的活動(dòng)會(huì)給CFA 協(xié)會(huì)帶來(lái)負(fù)面效應(yīng)的。

所謂榮譽(yù)，一定是指被授予過(guò)學(xué)術(shù)研究和金融界有重要影響力的人士，這可是首當(dāng)其沖的要求之一。該獎(jiǎng)學(xué)金指定授予在學(xué)術(shù)研究和金融界有重要影響力的人士。

1 獎(jiǎng)勵(lì)內(nèi)容

將CFA 考試的注冊(cè)費(fèi)和考試報(bào)名費(fèi)（包括電子版教材）減少到350 美元，比勵(lì)志獎(jiǎng)學(xué)金多了100美元。

2 獎(jiǎng)勵(lì)周期

該獎(jiǎng)學(xué)金在考生接到獲獎(jiǎng)通知并確認(rèn)接受時(shí)授予。

•獲得六月份獎(jiǎng)學(xué)金的接收者所獲獎(jiǎng)學(xué)金可能只適用于即將于6 月舉行的考試（級(jí)別I，II 和III）。

4 申請(qǐng)資格

（1）推薦人(包括：企事業(yè)單位法人)。CFA 協(xié)會(huì)將選取一些對(duì)提升CFA 協(xié)會(huì)項(xiàng)目的知名度有戰(zhàn)略作用的組織（“推薦人”）。讓這些組織分配指定數(shù)量的獎(jiǎng)學(xué)金給附屬的個(gè)人。

（2）獎(jiǎng)學(xué)金申請(qǐng)人。個(gè)人申請(qǐng)者無(wú)論是來(lái)自于企業(yè)推薦人還是大學(xué)推薦人均有資格獲得該獎(jiǎng)學(xué)金。符合下列規(guī)定條件的大學(xué)教授和財(cái)經(jīng)媒體工作者，可以直接申請(qǐng)?jiān)揅FA 獎(jiǎng)學(xué)金。

5 此獎(jiǎng)學(xué)金分類(lèi)

此類(lèi)的獎(jiǎng)學(xué)金又分為三種。

第一種是推薦人獎(jiǎng)學(xué)金：

由CFA選取的一些有提升CFA協(xié)會(huì)項(xiàng)目知名度及作用的企業(yè)組織或“大佬”個(gè)人。讓這些企業(yè)或組織分配定額的獎(jiǎng)學(xué)金落實(shí)到申請(qǐng)的個(gè)人身上。獎(jiǎng)學(xué)金申請(qǐng)人必須是全職或兼職雇員或長(zhǎng)期簽約受雇于推薦企業(yè)或政府；

在校大學(xué)生，獎(jiǎng)學(xué)金申請(qǐng)人必須是學(xué)院或大學(xué)目前在讀的學(xué)生，在本科或研究生學(xué)習(xí)階段就讀學(xué)校是CFA課程合作伙伴或CFA 協(xié)會(huì)承認(rèn)大學(xué)計(jì)劃項(xiàng)目。一旦獎(jiǎng)學(xué)金申請(qǐng)人已收到CFA 協(xié)會(huì)頒發(fā)的榮譽(yù)獎(jiǎng)學(xué)金，該申請(qǐng)人因畢業(yè)或發(fā)生其他原因離開(kāi)推薦機(jī)構(gòu)并不會(huì)取消該獎(jiǎng)學(xué)金。

第二種是CFA協(xié)會(huì)教授獎(jiǎng)學(xué)金：

在大學(xué)中教授金融學(xué)，經(jīng)濟(jì)學(xué)，商業(yè)和CFA 課程相關(guān)課程的大學(xué)教授可直接向CFA 協(xié)會(huì)申請(qǐng)?jiān)摢?jiǎng)學(xué)金，教授在申請(qǐng)時(shí)須具備：在大學(xué)教學(xué)期間，全日制教授每學(xué)期或半學(xué)期至少教學(xué)6 個(gè)學(xué)分；如果是作為部門(mén)、院系主管每學(xué)期或半學(xué)期至少教學(xué)3 個(gè)學(xué)分。

當(dāng)然，必不可少的另一硬件條件，所任教的大學(xué)必須是國(guó)家教育部認(rèn)可具備學(xué)位授予資格的大學(xué)。

第三種是媒體獎(jiǎng)學(xué)金：

為媒體行業(yè)設(shè)立的一項(xiàng)獎(jiǎng)學(xué)金。專(zhuān)門(mén)從事金融財(cái)經(jīng)新聞、數(shù)據(jù)、教育傳播的媒體組織的全職工作人員可直接向CFA協(xié)會(huì)申請(qǐng)?jiān)摢?jiǎng)學(xué)金。

請(qǐng)注意：每場(chǎng)考試只可獲得一份獎(jiǎng)學(xué)金，不會(huì)有double效果。

申請(qǐng)人每場(chǎng)考試只可以從CFA協(xié)會(huì)獲得一份獎(jiǎng)學(xué)金，如果一個(gè)申請(qǐng)人收到多份獲獎(jiǎng)通知，只有第一份可以被授予獎(jiǎng)學(xué)金。

6 推薦人要求

(1) 推薦人必須指導(dǎo)其獎(jiǎng)學(xué)金申請(qǐng)人審查并遵守CFA 有關(guān)獎(jiǎng)學(xué)金的規(guī)則。

(2) 所有提名必須在規(guī)定的期限內(nèi)提交給CFA 協(xié)會(huì),并符合CFA 課程的獎(jiǎng)學(xué)金驗(yàn)證形式要求。

(3) 推薦人必須在評(píng)估及改善項(xiàng)目上與CFA 協(xié)會(huì)合作。這可能包括調(diào)查和特殊請(qǐng)求的反饋。

申請(qǐng)CFA考試獎(jiǎng)學(xué)金時(shí)，需要考生提供個(gè)人陳述confirmation，而考生在個(gè)人陳述中要表明自己對(duì)取得CFA證書(shū)的向往，描述自己面臨的經(jīng)濟(jì)困難以及克服的障礙，同時(shí)用自己的學(xué)業(yè)/職業(yè)成就證明自己有能力通過(guò)CFA考試，并最終拿到CFA證書(shū)。

1 Personal Statement - Sample 1

One of my career objectives is to become a leading Investment/ Financial Adviser with great intellectual resources and skills required for the delivery of a value added, timely and personalized client service. The CFA charter is an internationally respected qualification, with its members driving development of capital markets and spear heading development projects especially in Africa where I come from. Having the CFA charter is a sign of competence and professionalism in the Investment Banking Service field. Also, the knowledge learned is a distinguishing factor among investment professionals. The CFA charter would increase my knowledge base, improve my marketability and also produce an agent for change in Africa and West Africa in particular as I intend to focus on Africa-based projects. My goal is to complete the CFA exams by the age of 26 (currently 23) and the CFA access scholarship would help me achieve my goal of becoming a CFA charter holder faster as I would otherwise spend a long period saving up for the exam fees.

2 Personal Statement - Sample 2

I believe I am an excellent candidate for the CFA designation scholarship. My plans for the rest of my year at UW-L is to complete my finance and accounting classes for my major and minor, and to take the FIN 400 course. I am very excited to be taking the Advanced Financial Analysis course because I feel the course will complete my major and combine all my finance classes into one review course, which will prepare me for the most important test of my career. I am fully prepared to study the recommend 250 hours for the first exam and for following two rigorous exams in the next 3 years to come.

My ambitions after graduating from college are to go into the corporate world as a financial analyst. During the past summer, I had a financial analyst internship at Kohler Co., where I learned a lot about the financial world from a corporate level and realized I could have a very successful, rewarding career in this area of finance. Having the CFA will grant my employer the security and confidence in knowing I have knowledge, integrity and professionalism of someone you can trust with your financial information and most personal details.

The CFA will provide me with a broad range of investment knowledge and high ethical standards of which will provide my future employer with a well-rounded individual. In working towards my CFA, I will not only learn and apply finance but economics, accounting and basic business management. I also plan to expand on my financial analyst real-life experiences and relate them to what have studied for the CFA (and vise-versa), so I can apply my education in a meaningful manner.

I hope while I am studying for all three exams of the CFA I will gain knowledge that will lead me to promotions. In the near future I would like to be a manager or controller of business/financial analyst or capital planning. The CFA will provide me with wisdom, standards and ethics to be an even better manager and leader. I already have powerful leadership qualities, most of which I have learned through the many positions I have held in my sorority Alpha Xi Delta, but I would like to expand on those qualities to become more successful in my career.

Not only will the CFA help me with my career, but also to help me grow as a person, learning self-discipline and guidance. The CFA will also help me keep on track with my future profession, and will keep concepts and ideas fresh in my mind and will make them easier to recall and use when needed.
